A week ago, we launched the Kickstarter campaign for Skytear Horde, the asymmetric castle defense card battler with 1-Minute Set-up for 30-Minute Games.
In a nutshell, Skytear Horde is a game that can give you the feeling of a competitive TCG like Hearthstone or Magic, but solo or co-operative.
Thanks to the awesome Skytear community, we now have 2500+ backers with almost $200K in funding that has unlocked many stretch goals for everyone.
The stretch goals are mostly extra free cards including one new hero that we are bringing from the MOBA and into Horde. You can cast your vote in the Kickstarter comment section as we haven't decided which one to bring yet.
If you want to join us on this adventure and get it "bigger, cheaper, and earlier" you can learn more about Skytear Horde on the Kickstarter page where you will find plenty of overview and playthrough videos and details.
You can even play it yourself for free with a digital prototype on Tabletopia, Tabletop Simulator, or even the print & play version.
If you just want a video to get an overview in a few minutes, this new video from Dice Tower might be made for you...
"I have simply had the best time with your game. Really, truly, well done! I can't wait for the published version, I want all the things..."
-Mark Streed from Dice Tower
Needless to say, we're excited about this positive reception by Dice Tower but also other important channels like Radho, BoardGameCo, Quackalope, and many more...
Next up, we are being tested by Team Covenant!
In just a few hours, they will go LIVE streaming a co-op session of Horde. I'm crossing fingers and hoping they will like it as well. I will be honest, every time it's stressfull, but I'm getting more and more used to it.
Here is a last big fat button because... the sleazy marketer in me says it's a good thing to have, for the ones of you just skimming through the newsletter:
| BACK US ON KICKSTARTER |
Due to popular demand, the solo mode for Skytear MOBA has now a free print & play version.
We got the message: you do not want to use your phone, not even if it's for 1% of the time while playing.
We might be able to actually print it later this year, but for now this is the best we can offer.
That's all for this week, happy gaming!
Giacomo

The best Skytear Podcast ever interviewed me. Listen here for some behind the scenes scoops.

Look at how Samuele from Italy painted the two new heroes from the Skytear MOBA Unforgotten expansion... great job!

Dear gamer, Skytear is becoming Season 8 of Exceed... on Gamefound soon! I’ve wanted to write this newsletter for a while but we've been too busy wrapping up our 2 recents projects: Dicequest and Onward: Twisted (late pledges for Twisted are still open btw). The Exceed Skytear season was announced about 1 month ago elsewhere... and since then a couple of Gamefound comments already captured the mood we're aiming for: “Oh god, my two obsessions are combining? This is the best” Or even: “THE...
Hello, buongiorno, bonjour! Here me, here me people! We have entered the final 24 hours of the campaign for Onward: Twisted. We’ve just crossed the 2000 backer mark, a number that means a great deal to a team of our size. It represents 2000 people who trust our design choices and the world we are building in Olan Taa. The Practical Side: Pricing As we approach the end, I want to be clear about the logistics. This is the final window to secure the favored pricing for the game. Depending on...
Hello, buongiorno, bonjour! More than 1,500 of you have already joined us for the reprint of Onward and the launch of its first major expansion: Twisted, introducing Solo and Co-Op gameplay. We’ve reached the middle of the campaign, the quiet stretch where the initial noise settles. If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, now is a good time to catch up. We recently posted a series of detailed updates breaking down core features of the game like heroes and items for those who are new. You...
